Pharrell says "get out and ride"

last night I dreamed of riding my bike around the city. I remember performing a handful of tricks that I have never even tried. It was probably the best dream I have had in a while. My fathers house has given me nightmares before, this was a fun change.

what can I say about love that has not been said already?

love is patient

the best lesson my grandfather ever taught we was patience. I deal with it differently from day to day when it comes to small things I want.

love has been one thing that I feel I am patient with.

some day in a foreign land I hope, a beautiful, smart and collected girl will ride into my life.

its not happening right now, and I dont think it will happen ever again in San Diego.

long day at work tomorrow, then off to check out potential home, then to a bicycle activism meeting.

great Mike Giant interview

rebel8.com

Velocult from sdfixed.com

This will be the first of many i hope. Jim Baross of the coalition will hold a meeting at the shop. he wants to talk to my customer base (generally a younger group) to educate people more on how to be active. the first meeting he will talk about all kinds of things including using the correct lingo so you can talk to people about these things and sound like you know what your talking about. there will also be a slide show.

this is an open forum where questions and comments are welcomed. if we want to start a movement is San Diego like Davis or Portland this is how its done, from the bottom-up. it all begins with the riders. lets gather and show that bike issues are important to us. lets also show Jim that advocacy is not only for the retired folk. show that this is important to the younger generations as well. lets get active. lets do protests. it starts here!

Jim is hoping for 20 or so people. lets double that! show that we really want the corrupt city government to thing about cyclists.

7pm on Thursday in the shop!

San Diego is ready for some more bicycle activism. It really is a great city to ride in as far as terrain and diversity of neighborhoods. The scene is getting big right now which means more riders are out on the road. Now is a the time to start gathering those growing numbers together in order to secure and establish an even more bicycle friendly city in the future.

This is also a great excuse and opportunity for myself to drool over the amazing bikes down in the shop.

If all goes to plan, this should be my balcony soon. Adaline and I are moving to Adams avenue in a old theater turned into a loft. rad!

This Aussie trecked out into the desert on a fixed gear. Insanity. He may have been the first. The rest of his blog is great, check it out at bottlesandchains.com

Skeletal Lightning ride was amazing. Great people, great food, cheap beer. Riding around TJ was a blast, nobody really rides anything like we had down there. 14 people total went, 9 chicos y 5 chicas. We ate at the famous "Taco Bell" and had the worst solo mariachi band serenade us, I'm pretty sure he was faded. Hey just kept singing that "Ay...ay..ayay..." song.
I'm going south of the border this morning on a bicycle ride. Its a scary time right now in Mexico and so Im a little excited/nervous. everything should be fine though, once i get a giant margarita in me ill be just fine.

I feel Obama kept his cool and really kept McCain accountable for his lies.

I feel McCain was rude and looked irritated. At one point he called Obama "that one", condescending him and making an ass out of himself. His economic plan was more visible today and its not going to be popular in our countries current financial disaster.
My father says we are headed towards a depression. God, if you are out there....save us.
It sucks when you used to be so close to people and now you never hear from them. Is this karma from awhile back?

I wish I didn't have to make the awkward phone call these days. I wish my friends would stop abandoning each other. I wish we could all have a giant party to fix it all, but I fear its not that simple.

Maybe it will get better as we head towards the holiday season..."good will towards men" and all that shit.

I'm over couples, free love sounds more and more appealing.

The supreme court rejected a new trial for Mumia Abu-Jamal today. It's saddening that in a time when we are about to elect a black president we can not give a black man a real trial. Free Mumia Abu-Jamal, demand equality.

I just found a goal. A way to do what I want. The United Bicycle Institute in Ashland, Oregon has frame building courses. Everything I need to learn to open my own shop someday could be taught to me within months. Tuition is cheap compared to what my friends pay for their college education. I need to get on this. This is absolutely perfect.

We felt that doing nothing in a period of repressive violence is itself a form of violence. That's really the part that I think is the hardest for people to understand. If you sit in your house, live your white life and go to your white job, and allow the country that you live in to murder people and to commit genocide, and you sit there and you don't do anything about it, that's violence.

The Puppy O'Shaughnessy Story

Brought to you by copenhagenize.com

This is the inaugural Copenhagenize Bicycle Battle in Copenhagen of course. They really love bicycles there....a lot. The vagina bike is actually a taxi that you crawl into.

Writing on this childrens shirt reads: "For the Lord your God is the One who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory." Deut 20:4."

Do you think profiting off peoples faith is very godly?

Doesn't capitalism devalue anything special within your faith?

Does jesus not talk about a life of minimalism and few possessions?

How can you smile and sell someone a "not of this world" car wrap for their disgusting big windowed automobile when that $26 could have been used to feed a family in Sri Lanka for a month or more?

Most all of your products are made outside of the United States, mainly poor developing countries with loose if not absent working regulations on age, hours, safety and health. In your FAQ, why do you blame your masses for demanding cheaper, foreign products...can you not take responsibility for your company? Where are your morals?

Is there no such thing as business ethics anymore?

jesus kicked over tables for less than the harm you are doing to the community now.

Please stop trying to sell spirituality, please have a heart, please stop exploiting your god's poorest nations.
